Selinsgrove refuses Sun Tech budget

SELINSGROVE – The Selinsgrove School District joins Mifflinburg in refusing the budget presented by Sun Area Technical Institute. Sun Tech’s proposed budget contains a 3.8 percent increase over last year with about $5.1 million to be split by the five districts that send students to the school, which includes Selinsgrove, Mifflinburg, Lewisburg, Shikellamy and Midd-West. Selinsgrove voted on the budget at Monday’s meeting and all voted against it accept for board members Roger Sheesley and John Molitoris. The school board says they will visit Sun Tech in the weeks ahead to try to come to an agreement on an acceptable budget.
